Autism Portal provides resources, online training, and podcasts specific to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

About

The New Mexico Autism Portal has been developed under a contract with the New Mexico Department Health – with funds from the issuance of "Autism Awareness License Plates" authorized in 2015 by the State legislature, pursuant to House Bill 103, Chapter 55 for the purpose of funding autism research, outreach, and education. Additional funding provided by the NM Public Education Department.

The Autism Portal will make it easier to find information specific to Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Autism Portal was created for family members, adults with ASD and providers.

The portal highlights an Autism Resource Locator, which will help narrow down resources based on age and other factors, leaving you with only the most relevant information.

We are excited to offer blog posts on various ASD topics and written by our CDD staff. The posts will provide a way to comment and discuss the topic with others in the community. The first blog post is on “How is Autism Diagnosed” by Mary Boehm, MA, CCC-SLP. In the future, we will offer more information in Spanish!

If you need help getting around the Autism Portal or its resources for yourself or an individual with ASD, contact the Autism Family and Provider Resource Team at 1-800-270-1861 or 505-272-1852.
