What is EPSDT? Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) services are those services available to children under the age of 21 who are covered by New Mexico’s Medicaid plan known as Centennial Care or who have Direct Medicaid (fee for Service). EPSDT services include preventive check-ups, diagnostic tests, therapies, personal care services, and care coordination.
What is New Mexico Centennial Care? Centennial Care is the New Mexico Medicaid program. Most people who have Centennial Care receive services through one of three managed care organizations (MCOs). Covered services include physical health (medical, dental, and vision), behavioral health (to help with issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, and addictions), long-term care and community benefits (services like adult day health, respite care and personal care services).
Each Managed Care Organization (MCO) contracted with New Mexico’s Centennial
Care Medicaid program is required to have an Ombudsman. Access to the Ombudsman is available at no cost to all Centennial Care members
